It's just two weeks left before the first Round of BWA Wave competition begins. If we are as lucky as last year then you could see another amazing spectacle here in Rhosneigr.

This years UK series of wave competitions is to be run by the newly formed British Wavesailing Association. With new energy and organisation we’re expecting great things to happen from the team.

It very important for you to come and join us and support the UK Wavesailing scene, rub shoulders with the UKs wave top sailors and see the latest wave kit on the beach. At this point their presence has confirmed guys from Simmer and Mistral, along with Quatro and Goya. It might be great opportunity to try new 2010 kit, find out a bit of a industry gossips. or get the essential advice regarding multi fin boards or new sails.

Are you an aspiring wave head? Come and enter your age category all amateur, youths, and masters entrants get a goody bag. During to days of competitions for all the sailors there will be free lunches provided.

It has become a tradition that first evening of the competition weekend we all spent in at Llandudno ski slope. Friday ski night start at 7 pm and is hosted by Nigel and his Team, who will provide Skiing and snowboarding Tuitions, Toboggan and BBQ. Amateurs/Masters/Ladies/Youths can registrar for your event during the venue at the Ski Centre, that will also allow you access to the slopes and for those of us not so hot on skies or snowboard there is the toboggan run to enjoy. Llandudno Ski Centre is located only 45 minutes from Rhosneigr, and essentials on the slopes are full trousers and gloves, don’t forget to bring some. Also if you thinking about hitting the kickers you will need to use a helmet! Safety is the priority!

Saturday night, entertainment is MUSIC LEDGENDS Fancy Dress Karaoke in ‘Y Morfa’ Rhosneigr. I were thinking what kind of venue to put together for that night, and we all came to agreement that we do what we know the best… Lets all have some fun on the mic. It worked during Caroline’s and Dave’s wedding it will work now…! This night will also be a great opportunity for you to become you music idol, and trust us there are some great ideas coming through already! It might be a busy day on the water, so energy burst will be need, so we will provide a buffet for all sailors from 8 pm.

Rhosneigr has a few B&BS and plenty of self-catering options. There isn’t any other town nearby so you will have to stay in Rhosneigr. Every year our main goal is to get more people to sail the waves, and fully enjoy it. You can’t do it if you not here. BWA chooses for their competition places probably with the best wave conditions in UK. So if you planning on improving your wave technique, learn new moves and compare your skills in wave sailing with other sailors, taking part in competition is one of the ways to do it! Every one is here to have great time, and get better in what they love…
